Founded in 2008, SAADA is the nation’s largest publicly accessible repository for the materials and stories of South Asian Americans. Our mission is to ensure that South Asian Americans are recognized as an essential part of the American story through documenting, preserving, and sharing narratives about their unique and diverse experiences. A valuable resource to students, educators, and the general public, SAADA’s archive contains over 5,000 items, including photographs, letters, newspapers, and born-digital content such as oral histories. SAADA is the publisher ofOur Stories: An Introduction to South Asian America, a first-of-its-kind anthology for high school and college-aged readers.
